knitandstuff: whimsyandmayhem: knitandstuff: I roll all my center pull balls by hand. Its just a empty paper towel roll were I put a little notch at the top for the yarn to stay put while I wind it. It is worth the time it takes. Rather then winding it into simple ball because I dislike having the ball rolling around everywhere while I knit. I hate the fact that my yarn bumps around. I think I’m going to be knitting on the plane to CA at some point, and my saving grace (and an added difficulty) is that it’ll be stuffed into a bag. This looks so lovely and convenient. And time consuming.  Yes it does take time but like I said its so worth it. I think I rolled these while watching Glee:) It looks so perfect though … how do you get it to look so perfect? o.o I wind my handspun like this, but I can never make it look like that
